OK so I'm going to call up all the major automakers "inspire" them to start making cars that run by splitting the hydrogen atom from water. Can I get the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for that, please?

Another little tidbit: the deadline for nominations was Feb 1. He took office Jan. 20. WTF did he accomplish in 13 days that garnered a NOBEL PEACE PRIZE nom?! What a fucking joke.

Unlike the other Nobel Prizes, being nominated for the Peace Prize means absolutely nothing - any idiot can nominate someone, and typically a very large amount of people gets a nomination. American presidents get nominated all the time, that part is normal enough. Awarding him the prize is ridiculous, but so is all this whining about him being nominated or the nomination deadline.
