I'm not talking about the difference between sex and gender...and how we've lately differentiated the two into the physical reality and the societal roles expected.
This discussion was about an individual who has the one set of sex organs (and other secondary features) who then goes through the process either in full or part to reassign themselves to the other. And then how there is the implied (if not outright expected) implication that those around them will then behave towards them with the typical "gender" roles associated with the newly acquired "sex" role.
