can be found in the depth of Sam(Mooney)Giancana's outrage when new President Jack appointed brother Bobby as his AG.
Which is to say, nearly as certain as I am that it would not have mattered if Allen Dulles had not been fired for lying about the need for US air support in the Bay of Pigs, in an insulting attempt to manipulate JFK into starting WW III for him, or if JFK had not first narrowly beaten Nixon when Dulles and the rest of the CIA had not expected to continue business as usual in a third Nix—er "Ike" term.
All crazy talk, of course; after all, a Warren Commission consisting of Allen Dulles and minority junior Representative Gerald Ford told us "point blank" Kennedy was killed by single gunman acting alone: What POSSIBLE reason could either have to lie...?
There are countless alternative theories about who killed JFK, most of them boiling down to "LBJ," but the trick is realizing WHOEVER did (or ordered it) was the SAME person who killed Bobby and MLK, and tried to kill Wallace, for the same reason. And LBJ had already declined to run again when Bobby announced his candidacy, while Wallace was never a political threat to him in the first place. Having a viable Dixiecrat nominee sure made the Southern Strategy a lot harder though.
