I picked up The Eye of the World in 4th grade after I ran out of things to read and kept bugging my mother for new books. Eventually she just handed me tEotW in an attempt to shut me up. I'm so glad she didn't give me Wizard's First Rule. I'd probably have ended up a libertarian.

Joining WoTmania came later. I was in middle school. I don't remember when I joined. I think it was 2003. It might have been earlier. I came from WoT Now?, which was a WoT sprite comic with a tiny little community which somehow has managed to stay remarkably close despite the comic and forum closing shop ages ago.

Now I'm in my last semester of law school and planning to go into public defense. Girlfriends have come and gone. Life goes on, &c. It's been interesting. I'll miss RAFO.

"We feel safe when we read what we recognise, what does not challenge our way of thinking.... a steady acceptance of pre-arranged patterns leads to the inability to question what we are told."
