I think, like "Anyway you want it," or "Bad Romance", it was sold by one good line of music. Even a Francophobe must feel a bit of something at "Aux armes, citoyens/Formez vos battalions!" It's still a long way from the inanity of rhyming "reign o'er us" with glorious and victorious.
