it turns out that telling Latinos/Hispanics that their relatives are nothing but drug runners and/or murders and/or rapists tends to turn them against you. unfortunately in the US, there are only two major parties allowed to share political power so the only other place they can go is to the democrats. there is no real plan for "winning the Hispanic vote" other than "let's wait for the republicans to open their stupid mouths again and say some other racist thing one more time".
