trump is on the record for the following:
- honoring the Iran nuclear deal
- keeping Medicare and Social Security as they are
- abortion exemptions for rape and incest
besides the fascist rhetoric, and the xenophobia, he's the moderate among the people who are likely to be the candidate.
rubio is slightly more moderate but it's not clear he has a path to the nomination at this point.
kasich is only moderate when it's politically expedient to be so -- he's certainly got a far more conservative record as both US House member and governor than his speeches would lead you to believe.
after them, it's a long rightward march to the rest of the field. cruz, huckabee, fiorina, carson, and jeb! are all trying to out-conservative each other because that's what gets them headlines. the biggest problem is that cruz actually seems to believe what he says. the rest are just looking to cash in on their "fame" when it's all over.
