The level of stupidity in that argument is astounding. The A4 does not have reverse so he would have had to driven forward straight into the people rushing to put out the fire burning across the deck and since it also does not have a starter if his engine was not spun up yet he could not go anywhere. The fire was so close to his aircraft that he was burned just running down the nose of his aircraft so how much time was he supposed to consider his options? He could also not punch while he had weight on the wheels so if had driven down flight crew members in his mad quest to drive over the side he would have had to have ridden the plane all the way to the water and given the crew a pilot rescue to deal with while they were fighting the fire. A futile rescues attempt since if the impact did not kill him it would have nocked him unconscious and he would have drowned.
