If I recall correctly, Betfair betting markets had Hillary Clinton and Obama running neck-and-neck (50% chance each) at this stage for Democratic nominee (that was in '0 
, whereas the polls showed Hillary ahead.
But yes, of course both polls and betting markets should get more accurate as the election draws closer.
