And you're the only one who hears "wrong" and equates it with "black" Cannoli Send a noteboard - 07/11/2014 03:51:02 AM

there is no question that specific demographics favor specific party ideologies,

But Republicans are Evil, so anything that favors their ideologies are automatically wrong and underhanded.
but there is also no question that it's only republican politicians pushing voter ID laws designed to suppress the votes of democratic voters. there are absolutely zero democratic controlled states where similar ID laws are either proposed or enacted.

That's like saying there are exactly zero fraternities whose members worry about getting raped on campus. It's like saying, "Senator Neary could not be bothered to stick around for the hearings on Michael Corleone. Obviously this Mafia thing is just a myth... And, hey! The government's star witness refused to testify against Don Corleone, even with his brother there to watch him, from his place beside Don Corleone! Obviously they had no case! It was all just a scam to discriminate against Sicilians." (I'm sorry if that went over your head. I don't know enough Tyler Perry movies to find an example you might get)

All that suggests is that Democrats are unconcerned about possible voter fraud. It could mean they are stupid, it could mean they are naive, it could mean they are right, or it COULD mean, they rely on voter fraud to win elections. This fact you cite is an indictment of the Democratic party if anything, but you are so stupidly blinkered and incapable of rational assessment or objectivity, that all you can think is that if no Democrat supports it, it must not be valid, right or necessary.

again, it's not about catering to a preferred base, it's about whether or not people should be allowed to vote regardless of party preference or identity. and all of the ID laws enacted with the exception of Indiana are designed to specifically exclude only one party's base voters.

And you don't think there's something odd about one, and only one, party's "base voters" being so irresponsible, socially out of touch or of suspect behavior that requirement for a simple, basic identification is a hardship? For crap's sakes, I have not seen one thing in this thread that suggests voting is being made as difficult as buying a pack of cigarettes or a bottle of alcohol!
