	I do think it's reasonable to assume that someone who does not share your view of the morality of suicide presumably also does not share your certainty of or belief in what comes after life. I would argue that staying alive "just in case," since it's the devil you know (so to speak), could be seen as the easier choice.
		If you are from Betelgeuse, please have one of your Earth friends read what I've written before you respond.  Or try concentrating harder.
