I'm not saying it wasn't fun; I'm just saying that the 40 maps claim is inaccurate. There were a few things I'd take issue with in a couple of the descriptions, too, but generally it was an entertaining diversion for a Friday afternoon.

I found Map 3 about travel times interesting. I was completely wrong in my mind in thinking how quick they could travel the empire. 2 weeks from Rome to Jerusalem by water seemed too quick to me at first but I guess I could see that. But a month to get from Rome to London over land? That seems way too fast. That's a pretty long way to march in 30 days.
But wine was the great assassin of both tradition and propriety...
