People who know me often wonder how I can get along without a smartphone, but I've never felt the need. Sometimes I purposefully choose to give myself idle time with nothing to do but think, because it's always a good opportunity to think about a story I'm either writing or planning to write. I enjoy the company of others on occasion, and I enjoy a good distraction too, but patience and solitude are lovely.
