View original post1 - when did you first allow your kids to watch a tv show? why that age, if you had a reason?

Not until she was 2. Our pediatrician send that ant amount of regular TV had negative effects

View original post2 - what was the show? why that show?

Typically preschool stuff like Dora, Word Girl and Mickey Mouse Club House. She plaid a role in picking but we decided what was offered and we avoided the truly annoying stuff like Tele-tubbies and weird show with the guy who like a giant sex toy.

View original post3 - do you have cable/satellite, or do you just use dvds or internet for tv?

Cable but at 7 my daughter watches mostly Netflix. She likes it because she watch stuff like H2O from Australia and she likes to power watch series. We like it because we can control what she watches and there is no marketing.

View original post4 - at what age did you first take your kid to a full length movie? Which movie?

Probably three and then it was Cinderella? Not sure

View original post5 - what age do you think is appropriate for a child to see their first movie length feature at home?

When they are old enough to watch an hour and half show all the way through. We had a rule that if she wasn’t paying attention we turned it off.

View original post6 - what was the first movie you showed your kids? why did you choose that movie?

Still Cinderella. Not sure why we picked it but she most have watched it 50 times. Now she hates it.

View original post7 - is there a show that you're nostalgic about and love watching with your little one?

The original Star Trek

View original post8 - do you think there's any difference between screen time via facetime vs tv shows?

I think interactive video game on average have more value than just watching.

View original post9 - how old will your kid be when you get them a tablet or let them use yours?

Mine was using ours at about three and got her own this year for Christmas.

View original post10 - how old was your kid when they first figured out how to unlock your phone via swiping?

2?
