when I read an article that made essentially every single point you made here, in some cases almost verbatim, to the point that the resemblance between your post and that article becomes almost eerie, the only difference is that that one was written by a guy who had made several documentary movies about Allen and knew him relatively well personally.
Well, with "any of this" I mean the stuff about Dylan Farrow - I did know something about the Soon-Yi story, though not in such detail either.
In all fairness, I shouldn't call him annoying until I've seen more of his work, I guess. The only thing I've seen of his so far is Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which might have been a good movie if not for the seemingly intentionally annoying and grating voice-over. But really, it's mostly just Penelope Cruz who makes it worth watching, and if I want to see Penelope Cruz playing an entertainingly over the top character, I've got several far better Almodovar movies to pick from...
