And to do that you have to admit that the middle exist. Polarizing politics wins primaries but not general elections. Withthe media being part of the core liberal base they can get away with playing to the margins more than republicans can but it is an issue for both sides. Putting radical morons like Pelosi and Reed in leadership positions under cuts a lot of the water carrying the media does for them.
