The winner of this coveted title (at least that's what it says in the article) was Edward Snowden. Second place went to Marco Weber and Sini Saarela. Pope Francis narrowly came in third with 153 votes - almost 8 % of the total.
The candidates were the Pope, Marco Weber and Sini Saarela, Edward Snowden, Elon Musk, Kanye West, Andy Murray, Waris Dirie, Jack Monroe and Satoshi Nakamoto. They were chosen by the newspaper's editors and writers.
Last year's winner was Manning.
