GOP Rep. on the shutdowns future: "You really have to call Cruz, I'm not even joking about that." - Edit 1

Before modification by Joel at 05/10/2013 11:49:14 PM

"That's really what you have to do, because he's the one that set up the strategy, he's the one that got us into this mess, and so we've got to know what the next move is."—Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), quoted by the New York Times, when asked what Republicans were going to do next in the budget standoff.

Now, either Grover Norquist and GOP Congressmen have become "liberal media," or this is a GOP baby and no one else should rock it.

View original postSorry but that argument lacks anything even resembling support. They were exempt but it is an outpatient surgical procedure and now it isn't exempt.

So every clinic doing outpatient surgery was NOT required to have doctors with hospital admitting privileges; glad we have consensus there.
View original postI assume that at some point a court will rule on this and the fact that in some rural areas they can not find hospitals that will given them privileges will allow them to be exempt but that really doesn't change the fact that her entire performance and that of her supporters was to interfere with the governments ability to conduct business and the left think she is the second coming. It is OK to be hypocrite but the self denial is unhealthy.

The State of Texas conducted business as it always had, without missing a beat. It did not send any state workers home without pay, end state payments and services to veterans or infant children, nor close any (let alone all) state offices and grounds. Wendy Davis did not shutdown government, but the US federal government is undeniably shut down. Screaming "government is the problem" for 30+ years precludes Republicans blaming that on ANYONE else. Personal responsibility: This is not just a platform plank, but its LYNCHPIN, and the GOP must own up to that.
Republicans, Democrats and America vs. the Tea Party: Wonder who wins...? ;)
