View original postAre you learning "classic" Castilian Spanish or Puerto Rican Spanish or Columbian Spanish or any of the other Latin American dialects/variants?
I use the one that's in the apps. I can also see some slight differences between different apps. Most of them note when an expression is specific to Spain-Spanish. I want to learn the Latin American Spanish - I already went to Spain.
And I would LOVE to go to Puerto Rico! Somehow it gets pushed off, but one day, I'm totally doing a pilgrimage to the birthplace of reggaeton
NSSP: I'm learning Spanish!

You'll probably be fluent in about 6 months at most. It's easy.

You will need to learn the subjunctive. Very much so.

Ah, but a question isn't a statement of uncertainty. It's a request for information.

Italian is one of those languages I've never wanted to learn.

There isn't enough Renaissance-era literature that you want to read?

Nope. Not too interested in the literature of the area. Not enough to learn the language

A quick question.

I think that is a very subjective question.

You would like Leopardi's thoughts on the two languages found within his Zibaldone

I will have to look in my copy of the Zibaldone on that one.

Bolivia is pretty amazing and has a good exchange rate, though you'll need a visa. *NM*
