What do you think ?
not sure I get the rationale. Obama has maneuvered himself into a bad position. Most of the public opposed a strike, but if he were to sit this one out, it would also reflect bad on him. So he is pretty much in a lose lose situation.

Of everybody I work with and know personally in my life - so maybe like 300 to 400 people I interact with throughout a given year, I know of not one person who supports a strike of any kind. And that is across the political spectrum, liberals, socialists, independents, libertarians, far right, etc. Not one.

Syria didn't attack us, they haven't done anything to us and there are plenty of other nations around the world that should step in. We are not the world's police force, we can't solve the world's problems by blowing up whoever we don't like. Let them all figure it out.

It sounds from what I have read that somebody in the Syrian command fucked up and used the chems. I have read there are intelligence interceptions of the Syrian communications where everybody on the line is freaking out because nobody knows what happened or who did it and they are all trying to figure out what happened. If Assad is smart he would find whoever did it and execute him on national TV personally on the steps of the governing building (Parliament or whatever they have). Even if it was his brother.

Obama is just like the kid back in the day at school or the bar who talked big (drawing the red line) and then had somebody call him out only to back down. Oops, Obama was going to kick ass if chemical weapons were used... well, they were used and now he's trying to save face and find a way to back his talk up even though he doesn't really have the balls to fight his own fight.

Oh, and if this was really that important then why wouldn't Congress skip the holiday and reconvene immediately? No, Boehner has said that he is for action except they're going to go ahead and talk about it when they get back on the week of the 8th. LMAO. Way to make a statement to the evil dictator and the Syrians who are suffering - We'll sort this thing out and figure out if we're going to fuck your country up even worse when we're done with our barbecues and beers!

This whole thing is a fucking joke and if Congress or the President goes ahead with it against the will of the American people they should all be thrown out of office. Obama knows it and that's why he's put it to Congress, so he can save face when they tell him no and act like he tried but his hands were tied.

Edit: Another point I forgot to make is that the number of casualties has no changed. A week ago it was maybe a few hundred dead and wounded, then it was a little higher and now it is like 1500 dead including 400 or 500 children and women? Uh right... will it be 3000 dead next week?
