View original postWe are currently almost exactly at the halfway point, so there is a chance it will be Baby New Year.
View original postGiven that we just moved again (my... fifth move since Fall 2010; I am averaging about one every six months counting arrival,) the last four blocks to the building is uphill literally to the front door (and a flight of stairs,) the baby is due during the heart of a snowy winter yet in abeyance and my wifes hips are already tormenting her, I am currently very glad to be male. On the up side, Norways socialist dystopia guarantees Mahtaliel either ten months maternity leave at full pay or a year at 80%, so she should have some time to recuperate without driving us to penury.
View original postI am proud of her because she quit smoking cold turkey within a day or two of discovering her pregnancy. And of myself for other reasons; once we agreed to commit Attempted Conception she quit taking the pill, started ovulating the following week and the strip changed color the following Saturday: Near as we can tell, it took me all of two days to impregnate her. Because I am awesome like that. The first ultrasound was the last day of July and everything looked fine: The midwife said the child has a "nice brain" and is PROBABLY a girl; she could not be certain because apparently our firstborn has all the modesty I lack.
View original postSo, y'know, if anyone was curious; past observation indicates NSSPs are the thing to do in these situations, so this is mine.
