How is this different that our typical debates here about politics? I don't think people should be ugly or insult people who were involved when none of us really no very little about them as people. This really isn't much different than the people who were calling for gun control after the theater shooting in Colorado. As for pointless arguments hell this hardly is a new thing around here.
Sorry but I really don't see how it is unethical to discuss the merits of a very controversial case. I respect that fact that you choose not to but I fail see it as an ethical issue in and of it self.
