One can always make the case that everything is politics, but I'd disagree, I don't think individual trials which aren't of elected officials or senior appointees, or not a specific civil rights trial headed for SCOTUS or similar really belong in the daily headlines non-stop. Trials shouldn't be secret, but 24/7 news cycles are unnecessary and improper when court records and transcripts are already freely available to the entire world of all trials held in this country.
