View original posthis career in the NBA was essentially over (appeared in 9 games this season), he'd be extremely lucky to hang on another year or so, but was probably going to be gone after the draft, if not before. The only amazing thing about him is that he stayed in the league this long. He has a career average of less than 4 points per game & 3 rebounds.
View original postNow, instead of getting cut (how much you want to bet that if they cut him this off season there will be a lawsuit?) and fading away into sports trivia he will go on to have a well paying career as a speaker (if he can string 3 intelligible sentences together) and figurehead for everything gay. It is silly.
But he sounds fairly intelligent - not just not stupid. Whether he did it for money or just because he actually, you know, doesn't like having to hide such a fundamental thing, if he doesn't act like an ass about it, I'm willing to be proud of (and happy for) him.
I agree with Paul/Legolas below. It is important.
