Perhaps its time to try a little fact checking. heartbreak Send a noteboard - 04/04/2013 03:34:44 AM

Maybe a graph showing the number of millions in poverty from 1959 to 2011? From the US Census Bureau's own website?

It clearly shows that three times since the mid sixties has the poverty population reached the level that it was at during that time. It also shows that the poverty population has been steadily rising since early 2000. What was it that happened in 2000? And again in 2004? Clearly that must not be working either...

You can point the finger all you want but in the end, its just as obvious that everything that has been done previously has failed. So what's the solution? Do you even have anything to contribute or are you just an alarmist with a chip on your shoulder?

My personal feeling is that the best way to go is more education. Only through better education will people be able to get better jobs and help grow our economy. We need to keep technology growth here in the States, we need to make it so that its more beneficial for companies to pay higher salaries to stay here in the states because our labor force is smarter and works harder than any other. There was a time in this country where hard work and a good education was valued. It's downright pathetic when we deride the leader of our nation for going to a prestigious school. It's downright pathetic when we whine about investing in our children's future, which in turn is the future of the nation that we claim to love so much. It's just idiocracy.
