Anglicanism can only be described as Protestant as Bishop Cosin described it in the 17th century: "Protestant and Reformed according to the principles of the ancient Catholic Church." There are neo-Anglicans (most if not all of the Anglican Communion) who are Protestant, but that was not the intent of the English reformers.
