It wasn't good. It was a sloppy ending that showed Jordan never really knew where he was going with the series; he just had a fun "scene" in his head and that was it. After Book 6 the series went downhill and, although a few good things happened after that, I think Wheel of Time will fade from prominence (barring a rich, crazy fan self-funding a TV series or something).
I'm trying to hack away at a long list of things I started but didn't finish for various reasons. I started thelaisof Marie de France in conjunction with my grammar/textbook of Old French (just finished the latter recently), I just read a book about Mussolini's Italy through the conquest of Ethiopia (just finished, very interesting), I readEr ist wieder da, which will soon be available in English and for which I posted a review here and on Facebook, and when I'm done with Marie de France I just might finish Neal Stephenson'sThe Diamond Age, but while it was good reading when I was stuck on jury duty, I'm not really thrilled with it.
I just watched the first four seasons of Breaking Bad. Loved it. It looks like I might have to pay to watch the first half of Season 5, though.
