Pitcher from 1965 to 1983. 284 wins and just under 3200 strikeouts. Won the Cy Young in 1971. In his Cy Young season he threw 30 complete games and pitched 263 strikeouts to only 37 walks.

If Joey Votto keeps it up, he might make it someday too. Justin Morneau is Canadian too, but, y'know, injuries. I think Larry Walker is considered the best historical Canadian batter, but he didn't get much of a sniff for the Hall in his first two years of eligibility. He was MVP in '97, and he's the only player in history to have a season with 25 stolen bases and a slugging percentage over .700.

Fun fact: one year before Walker's retirement in 2005, the Texas Rangers agreed to trade Ian Kinsler (then a prospect) to the Rockies for Walker, but Walker vetoed the trade. He wanted to go to a contender, so they traded him to St. Louis instead for a few prospects. The only prospect of note in that trade was Chris Narveson (a pitcher who's won 10+ with the Brewers the last couple years), but the Rockies promptly traded him to the Red Sox for Byung-Hyun Kim, and the most Kim did for them was go 8-12 in 2006 with a 5.57 ERA. All in all, I bet the Rockies wish they'd gotten Kinsler.
