How important is handwriting?

Very, there are just some things that can't be typed, notations and corrections to typed work being a few.
Do you remember learning to write?

Yup, as early as preschool, 3 years old.
At what age did you learn cursive?

Basic teaching in preschool, Montessori focused on cursive, though I really learned it in the tail end of second grade and almost everything was required to be in cursive in third and fourth. Then nobody has required it since, now in college.
Do you feel it is relevant in today's curriculum?

Handwriting absolutely, legible printing, cursive could be forgotten as all it did was mess my printing up, (started adding little bits and connecting letters...).

Thanks
