After the US election, I decided to take two months off from posting here

It was getting to be a drag, trying hard not to get caught up in the "winning" and "losing" nature of political arguments. Burned out on it all. Missed frivolity and actual learning from others. Posted more elsewhere, even got to see some of the "Political 4" (as I think of the hardcore political/current events junkies here) in a different light the infrequent times they'd post somewhere else on the site.
Thought a few times about wading into the post-school massacre threads, but as someone who's worked in education/mental health for the past 14 years, it'd be hard to say anything more than guns do not make for a conducive learning environment when a great many of the students I've worked with over the years have lost friends/family members due to guns and that it's extremely difficult to establish necessary emotional bonds when there's that niggling knowledge that the other person has a weapon concealed on their person. That'll be my only contribution to that dead horse.
Thought back to just before I joined wotmania in October 2000 (although I had lurked since February of that year) and how there was this occasional "community building" thing later called The Project™, where people were asked to say nice things about the SNs/people they knew/recognized in order to dispel a negative vibe at the time. While that era is dead and I wouldn't ask for it to be revived, it certainly would be nice to know at least one non-political opinion/fact about some of the people here.
After all, I'm a mild extrovert. I like being around people and learning things about/from them. Who knows, maybe I'll discover there's someone else here who graduated/attended my alma mater, the University of Tennessee, or who is also ambidextrous, or maybe someone else who loves squirrels or fennec foxes.
So...
Instead of talking about political opinions already expressed elsewhere, care to share something about yourself that others here might not know about?
