You can't know that your child is going to kill people with your guns, so you can't know that you should shoot your child to prevent him/her from killing people.

Do you really think that you could just shoot your child and then go to the courts and say: well, but by killing my child, I prevented 26 children from getting shot. Good luck with that line of defence...

You don't know what your child is going to do. Basically, what you are saying is that you would shoot your child out of self defence. If your child threatens your life, you will kill your child.
