For me, this article was very "Black People vs. White People" Amyrlin Send a noteboard - 26/12/2012 10:29:54 PM
This was a very racist article.

The author is also black.

It's still racist.

Casually calling someone a racist and then doubling down with the arguably even more offensive Uncle Tom implication is a big deal and the sort of comment where the burden of proof is very much on the accuser. So I think you need to justify the racist aspect with some direct by-sentence support.

What exactly did he say that is racist? Your original comments were practically in agreement with him in whole or part across the board, so what specific bit(s) were racist?

When the issue is more "Detroit vs. the Suburbs". And, "Detroit vs. the Suburbs" is a more fair and honest way to say it. While there are people in the City that would make this "White vs. Black" that is NOT the issue. Yes, the City is more black than white, but there are hundreds of thousands of blacks in the suburbs. The black people in the burbs aren't getting less of an education - it isn't the color of their skin. It's where they live.

That's my take, anyway.

By the way, I miss you too.~KB
