I have never seen any mention of them among the injured or dead (or at all.) Joel Send a noteboard - 23/12/2012 01:09:38 AM
...once they revealed themselves to the shooters. several students were still shot dead even after these guards engaged the shooters, and the guards did not stop the shooting in any way whatsoever. and as you point out, this was well before we militarized -- er, placed armed police in front of -- our school buildings as a rule rather than an exception. having a guard is not going to change anything other than potentially add another casualty to the next school shooting.

Police=military now? I have found a NY Daily News story with a cop "stationed" at Columbine on the day of the shootings but who WAS NOT PRESENT for the shootings. It says he "rushed BACK" to the school when the shooting began, but he and the gunmen both managed to miss each other during their brief exchange of gunfire. The officer goes on to say both assault weapons bans AND armed police stationed at schools would greatly reduce the risk of school shootings, but further notes cops stationed at schools to prevent violence should have no other duties. My impression is he feels he might have stopped Klebold and Harris had he not been dispatched elsewhere for far less critical duties. Obviously armed cops at schools cannot prevent school shootings if they are not, y'know, AT SCHOOLS.
