xenophobia is the fear of the alien... WTF are you trying to say?

All you're doing is trying to inject needless prescriptivism into the discussion in an attempt to cover your bigotry behind semantic quibbling.
(Hint: You aren't fooling anyone.)
(Hint: You aren't fooling anyone.)
I'm not trying to fool anyone, just educate them. I don't waste my time trying to fool anyone.
This whole thread began because I informed someone that they were using a word (homophobe)incorrectly, and they tried to convince me that it meant something completely different than what it does.
arachnophobia - fear of spiders
agoraphobia - fear of open spaces
acrophobia - fear of heights
claustrophobia - fear of enclosed spaces
triskadecaphobia - fear of the number 13
-and my favorite-
luposlipsaphobia - the fear of being chased by timber wolves around a kitchen table while wearing socks on a newly waxed floor.
phobia is not hate, it is fear.
If you are going to use a word, use it correctly.
SCOTUS Justice Antonin Scalia is brilliant, just brilliant -

WTF does "I don’t care what their intent was. I care what it was that they intended" mean?

Yeah I read that twice to see if that was right *NM*

Part of me pities Scalias decline, because he could once nimbly and convincly argue black is white.

Florida state law does not and did not prohibit statewide recounts.

I am aware of Scalias "logic," and his rejection of it about a year later with Robamacare.

His comment references the authors (NOT words) intent in both negative and affirmative.

I was stumped by his phrasing as well

But we must go by his words and his understanding of their meaning, without interpretation.

Lol. Homophobia is synonymous w/ homonegativism. It's not meant to convey a true phobia *NM*
