Most Scotch tastes like burnt bog water to me. Oban is the only one that I've had that was remotely palatable.


I didn't have one idea what it would taste like. I'm like 6,000 miles from Scotland. Now if you were to ask me about Tequilla, I could relay some info. So I was going into this whole scotch thing completely blind.

Burnt bog water...that may be what I was tasting. For me, it tasted like....meat? I don't know.
