How important is handwriting?
I think it is very important.
Do you remember learning to write?
Yes, truamatic! My third grade teacher ridiculed me about my handwriting and reading. My mom was having her third divorce so I had no help at home that year.
At what age did you learn cursive?
I was 8 or 9.
Do you feel it is relevant in today's curriculum?
I do. It engages so many more senses than just typing a message. I love the feel of the pen on paper, and the smell of ink or a freshly pointed pencil. I just feel more engaged when I hand write than when I type.
Thanks
