But Legolas is right; watching the Brits annually mope about their Wimbledon drought for years got more uncomfortable the longer it lasted.

For that matter, they still have a Wimbledon drought - yes, Murray won the Olympic gold in that very location, but he hasn't won the tournament itself yet. Though one does get the impression he'll be hard to stop next year.
