Historically, sure. Nowadays? Not so much. The support being offered this late in the game says something else entirely. She could just sit the whole thing out and say 'no comment' very easily but she hasn't. Lots and lots of possible reasons for that but I would venture to say that it's pretty clear that she doesn't want this to continue. Well really clear given that she's said exactly that multiple times.



Not really. What the actual plea agreement was has been said, a number of times, to have been 40 some odd days behind bars. He did that as part of the 'evaluation'. Once he got out (and the evaluation came back that he wasn't a pedophile btw, even the prosecutors didn't debate that) they were talking another 'evaluation' of just as long, despite it being unecessary and THEN some kind of jail sentence which could have been as long as, according to some sources, 50 years. With that hanging over my head after the first agreement was pretty clearly abrogated and with back room deals going on that were illegal and his lawyer wasn't part of - well to quote Samantha Geiner's lawyer (yes, the victim's lawyer) 'Anyone in their right mind would have fled.'



Probably not, actually. He had plenty of money and a case with no physical evidence and no witnesses. Had he gone to court he very likely would have won, but his lawyers would have dragged Geiner through the mud and blood and made her out to be a whore. But he would probably have won. THAT would have been getting off easy.

Given that he didn't take that road, I have more respect for him than you do. If he really didn't care and was the kind of scum people are calling him, he'd have done it in a second. But he didn't and to me, at least, that says something positive about him.




He's been held accountable. He did time in prison and his life has been a mucked up mess because of it, at least on some level, ever since.

If he really were a child rapist, I'd be all for taking him out and shooting him - but that clearly isn't the case here.
