Serving time isn't a time-machine. It doesn't change the fact that he assaulted a woman. Frankly, there are a lot of convictions that would be a dealbreaker for me, simply because I would prefer to date someone who wouldn't possibly ever get convicted of anything, except in the case of tyranny or a Kafkaesque court system. People who live a life that makes conviction even a remote possibility should still get a fair shake by social institutions, but that doesn't mean I should even consider binding my own personal fate to theirs.
