I don't like ebooks, but I have a few just in case I need to travel on short notice. I downloaded free (public domain) works from amazon directly to my iPad using the Kindle app, and I can watch Amazon Prime movies purchased through the Amazon Prime app.
I hate computing with Apple (Macs), but that's because I'm a control freak and I want to be able to do all the things that Windows lets you do on your own but Mac tries to keep "behind the curtain". When it comes to tablets, MP3 players and phones, I prefer Apple, hands down. Plus, because of the way it works, I pay once and get the same app on my iPad, my iPhone and up to 3 more mobile devices.
