What's a good tablet for slightly technologically-challenged people?
What's a good tablet for slightly technologically-challenged people?
The reason why I ask is that if they have an iPhone or an Android phone, it might be easier to just keep the same OS when using a tablet. I love being able to integrate my apps through my Mac Mini, iPhone 4, and iPad 2, as I can shift files quickly and effortlessly via iCloud through Wi-Fi.
The selling point of the iOS products isn't their technological prowess but rather their ease-of-use (although Android products have improved quite a bit in that regard). My youngest brother loves his Android phone/Kindle Fire combo and while the Fire is the only semi-Android device I've operated, it seems easy to use as well.
So what I'd suggest is just get whatever OS their phone(s) has/have and let them have a smaller learning curve, since both will probably meet their needs.

As opposed to the Apple cult? Apple doesn't have anything comparable to Amazon Prime.

If they're based outside of US, that would be relevant to mention in the post.
