I don't know that it really hurts him that bad. everynametaken Send a noteboard - 19/09/2012 12:55:36 AM
Independent voters like me who go out every morning and work my ass off are going to walk into that booth come Election Day and pull the lever for him because we are tired of the people of whom he was speaking and we are not optimistic about four more years f Obama. And when I say "people of whom he was speaking" I mean those people like me encounter on a daily basis that are arrogantly self-entitled and have bought into Obama's idea that the government HAS to take care of them and their lack of self-determination.
I hold nothing against Larry, he has consistently been one of the hardest working individuals I've known on this forum over the years. And I don't think Mitt Romney is talking about him. I think he's talking about the idiot at the Pharmacy getting his prescriptions filled on his state insurance, running through line and pulling out his bridge card to pay for some items and then jumping into his 2010 Chevy Malibu and heading back home to his 200,000 house that is also now being subsidized - and yet, that person sees nothing wrong with this. And, regardless of what more liberal minded people might like to try and make themselves believe, this is not an aberration anymore, this is a normal everyday experience I and many others I speak politics with have witnessed escalate over the last four years.
I don't even like Mitt Romney and I'm not really impressed with Paul Ryan but the state of the nation is NOT good at all. President Obama must ride off into the President's club and somebody like Romney who actually knows something about business can take the reigns and try to steer us back towards some semblance of sanity. at this point I am so pissed at the Democrats (President AND Congress) that for the first time in my life I may just pull straight ticket. That's pretty drastic for me, I have never voted that way.

By the way, polls say one thing but I have to say I have met quite a few people who are like me. They are not engaging in a lot of political rhetoric this election, they are staying on the quiet side and fully plan already on going in and voting for Romney regardless of whether he sticks his foot in his mouth a lot. Four more years of an Obama Presidency will be a disaster and a lot of people see it. I believe come Election Day, we just may see the surprise stomping of McCain come around to the President.
