but of course it's easier to misconstrue a statement someone doesn't like and turn it into something else, much like romney is doing with this phantom "apology" stupidity.
also please point me to a single presidential election decided by a national popular vote. the electoral college decides the presidency and there are 51 states' worth of electors who cast their votes. romney needs a LOT of help to have a chance of winning in november and it's not clear he will get it. trying to pretend he still has a good chance of winning is like a pittsburg pirates fan trying to say they're going to win the world series this year. sure, mathematically they may have an outside chance of it but they need to rely on everything lining up perfectly and there just isn't enough room for error for it to be more than a remote possibility.
