If Romney (or anyone else) were president, would those protesters have stayed home? Blaming Obama for the attacks and/or accusing him of sympathizing is like blaming him for rain. It is just the mother of all dog whistles: Romney and Co. can revive false accusations Obama began his presidency with an international "apology tour," and tacitly exhort people like my uncle to call him a Muslim-terrorist-sleeper-cell aiding Americas enemies and faking his birth certificate, without Romney having to take responsibility for the racially tinged slanders.
