No government has apologized to anyone for the attacks, to my knowledge. - Edit 1

The folks in the Cairo embassy evidently issued an apology for the film depicting Mohammed, but they did so BEFORE the attack in an (unsurprisingly unsuccessful) attempt to prevent it. Obama has disavowed said apology. http://politicalwire.com/archives/2012/09/12/obama_administration_disavows_cairo_apology.html
Before calling the Obama administration stupid because of an apology it did not make, recall last January, when his hesitation to support Mubaraks removal, and Kucinichs empty reassurances to Qadaffi, prompted you to ask why the Left supports dictators. As I said then, it was less about loving dictators than fearing something like this (or worse.)
Yes, the attacks on the embassies are deplorable and the murder of our Libyan ambassador reprehensible and tragic, and the choice of date was surely no coincidence. Trying to score cheap political points off it is not exactly the most noble act either though, particularly when the desperate haste to do so causes one to state gross inaccuracies. Feel free to do so, however, if your priorities are that badly misplaced, if only to make that abundantly clear, as it seems one person has already done: http://politicalwire.com/archives/2012/09/12/foreign_policy_hands_voice_disbelief_at_romney_statement.html
