1. Do you think organic food is healthier/safer/more nutritious than ordinary food?
I don't think it's a matter of subjective opinion anymore; it's a clear fact that organic food is not any more nutritious than regular food. It's also not "healthier" except to the extent that the pesticides are a health hazard.Yes. Still, people like sticking to their unsupported notions. And perhaps some people who support organic farming adopt the whole package: you start by thinking it's environmentally friendly and suddenly it tastes better and is healthier, too.
2. What do you think is the most important benefit derived from organic farming?
Organic farmers and food stores make more money for growing the same shit.
Okay
3. What do you think will be the role of organic food in 20 years? Will it continue to grow in the future?
I think it will be a niche market in 20 years if it exists at all. Until the 2050 population "peak" predicted by the UN (or whenever it actually happens), with water issues looming for large parts of the world, including many that are key food producing areas, food will continue to increase in cost. Add to this economic pressures on the middle classes in connection with the economic crises and the simple fact that surplus workers are becoming endemic in nearly every profession, and the spending power that allows organic food to thrive will dry up.
That's one of the pessimistic scenarios, yes. And I'm already annoyed by everyone complaining about the price of food.. guess that's only going to get worse.
I'd be interested in knowing what you guys think about organic food

I think the organic movement is mostly a big scam: an excuse to charge more money for less food.

Actually, I believe the "no pesticides" part predates the "no GMOs" part.
