I still can't get my head around the idea that there are still places in the world where rape vicitms are punished and allow themselves to be raped over and over out of fear of what society will do to them it is found out.
Obviously it's not the same thing, but when even here so many rapes go unreported and it carries a stigma, it's hardly that shocking that in more traditional and conservative countries, the situation is still worse.

True, but I can understand it; there is a lot of stigma attached to being raped, often self-imposed.
