US unemployment February 2009: 8.3% US unemployment now: 8.3% Joel Send a noteboard - 05/09/2012 12:53:08 AM
Food stamps just hit a new high, etc.

Any questions?

Not bad considering it started going up from 5% in April 2008 and did not stop until it hit 10% in October 2009. Mercifully, it has been going down since, but we are far from out of the woods, so this is no time to switch horses in mid-stream. Particularly since we dismounted the old one because it was DROWNING.

I will let you (reputably) source the figures you referenced. I am pretty sure a smaller percentage of Americans are on foodstamps now than in, say, 1936.

In fact, by the standard Romney states, that the the first 6-12 months are on the previous president, unemployment is significantly lower than the 9.6% it was at six months after Bush, or the 9.8% it was twelve months after Bush.
