I hope I would do better if trained to do so, yes. - Edit 1

The articles I've seen are kind of confused, but as far as I can tell, the gunman killed one guy, and then a bunch of other people got injured by policemen trying to take him down.

Which... yeah.

At the very least. It is pretty sad when the deliberate murderer shoots less people than cops trying to stop him; were they blindfolded or something?

You would have done better? The cops did great. Remember, they were shooting into a crowd. What do you expect?

Not shooting into a crowd if they cannot be any more accurate. I understand ricochets, but according to Yahoos report three people were just flat out shot. Police shot more innocent people than the murderer they were trying to stop. The video does not show them firing "into a crowd:" One officer was about five and the other maybe ten feet away, closer than anyone, so at worst they fired within a crowd. The video does not support even that, because only four people are visible "down range."

RAFO (falsely) says the link is broken, but here is the video: http://bostinno.com/2012/08/27/empire-state-building-shooting-surveillance-tapes-released-by-nypd-video/#ss__212155_1_0__ss
