Sadly a small part of my childhood died last week with the news of Jerry Nelson's death. Nelson worked with Jim Henson and the muppets since the sixties (were he was initially hired to perform Rolf's hand) and was the puppeteer and voice behind several notable Muppets including Gobo Fraggle, Kermit's nephew Robin (for which he sang Halfway Down The Stairs )and my all time favourite Muppet, The Count (for which he has provided the voice for up until his death last week).
He will be sadly missed

Another sad loss of a man who gave the world very much for many years.
